.:CE:. At Your Back, Always

The theme for the contest was to draw a scene from our favourite Sonic game. Believe me, I was hard-pressed to choose just one specific game, since I love so many xD I was tossing between Sonic Heroes (who didn't love that game when they were younger? x3) and Sonic Unleashed (man, that game was pure awesomeness too bad it didn't have a multi-player option) and even just a battle scene from Sonic Fighters or even a scene from Sonic Riders (I love their outfits x3)

But in the end, I decided to choose Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. Mainly because it's the most recent game I've played of Sonic xD And plus, it really was quite fun, and I loved the RPG nature of it~

I loved how they staged the fights. I enjoyed it very much, and the fact that those POW moves were interactive made it extra thrilling. (I'm ashamed to admit at how many times I failed at it when re-playing the game for the picture references TT^TT I cursed at my DS a lot xD)

So here are four of my favourite characters, Sonic, Shadow, Amy, and Cream, fighting a Gizoid. Sonic's using Axe Kick, Shadow's using Chaos Spear, Amy's doing a basic attack, and Cream is using Demoralize. Their Chao are a Barbo, Spartoi, Koolet, and Cheese, respectively.

Speaking of Chao, I absolutely LOVED how there were so many of those cute, adorable winged creatures, and that every character could have one~ They were so cute, and I just love the thought of Shadow getting friendly with a look-alike Chao >w<

Anyway, so technical stuff about the pic now, I suppose. Amount of time spent on it? Well, I started today... so minus all my break times, meal times, and gaming times... this took me approximately 7-8 hours (although it felt like A LOT longer xD) Truthfully, the lineart took the longest I also gave them new outfits (kinda xD) cuz it was recommended in the journal~ Hope it's okay ^^"
