Okay, so--introducing to you guys the Kitty!AU!

The idea for this AU was all in Bast's name. For people who knew their ancient Egyptian trivia, you probably realised that Bast was named after an Egyptian Goddess-- Bast, who later came to be known as Bastet, a cat goddess (whose role changed over time; she was first a warfare goddess, and then changed into a major protector deity, which really, really fits into this AU smlkfjewa ).

So this AU is about goddess!Bast who, when she gets older, gets banished from the heavens and gets stranded in the mortal world, stripped of her powers. The only way she can return home is if she learned to love mortals, the very creatures she felt nothing but detest and indifference towards. Struggling to survive without her godly powers, it seemed like she'd be stuck on Earth forever--

until she comes across one particular stray tomcat, whom she feels like she'd met before. Maybe he could teach her how to love mortals, and help her get back home. But in the end, would she even want to?

So there you have it! The basis for the kitty!AU And this comic here is Bast and Beanie's first meeting, from when they were but little children and Bast snuck out of the heavens to visit the mortal world in her boredom. She kind of forgets him later on though, because this is their only meeting before the whole banished-to-the-mortal-world incident bwahaha

But Beanie doesn't forget. How could he?
